Waste Heat Recovery Project Open to Port Partners

The Hamilton Port Authority is supporting an exciting initiative helping companies that operate in Hamilton’s Bayfront Industrial Area to maximize waste heat recovery opportunities. This two-year project ― spearheaded by the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with The Atmospheric Fund ― will deliver a report with recommendations on how local firms can leverage district energy and other waste heat recovery systems to drive business competitiveness, lower GHG emissions and increase energy efficiencies. The project is seeking bayfront companies to contribute to an inventory of waste heat sources, as well as recovery systems in place and in the planning stage. Companies, institutions and buildings (residential and commercial) in a position to use the waste heat of nearby producers are also encouraged to participate. There is no cost.
