OPSTC Tax Credit
- The Ontario Production Services Tax Credit (OPSTC) offers a refundable tax credit of 21.5% on qualified Ontario production expenditures for eligible film and television productions, benefiting both Ontario-based Canadian corporations and foreign-controlled entities.
Ontario Film Fund
- The aim of the Ontario Creates Film Fund is to elevate the scale of domestic feature film production within Ontario. This initiative extends vital assistance to Ontario producers for feature film projects during the critical phases of final development and production financing.
Ontario Film & Television Tax Credit
- The Ontario Film & Television Tax Credit (OFTTC) provides a refundable tax credit of 35% on qualified Ontario labour expenditures for eligible film and television productions, exclusively accessible to eligible Ontario-based Canadian corporations.
OFTTC Regional Bonus
- OFTTC productions filmed entirely outside the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), or with a minimum of five location days in Ontario (or matching the episode count for TV series), with at least 85% of location days outside the GTA, are eligible for a 10% bonus on all Ontario labour expenditures. Fully animated productions with 85% of key animation done outside the GTA also qualify.
