Hamilton Port Authority supports Hamilton youth with $10,000 donation to Liberty For Youth

Hamilton Port Authority (HPA) is a longtime supporter of Liberty For Youth, a Hamilton-based charitable organization that helps at-risk youth in the Hamilton community through mentoring and skill-building.

On November 8, Liberty For Youth hosted its annual ‘Power of a Changed Life’ fundraising dinner, where HPA was pleased to present a donation of $10,000.  In receiving the donation, Frederick Dryden, Executive Director of LFY explained, “This donation will go towards program sustainability, ensuring LFY can continue programs that help young people on the path to higher education and employment. We are thrilled to have community-minded organizations like HPA alongside us on our journey.”

HPA’s support for LFY also includes the involvement of its port employees; several staff members participated in the Hamilton Road2Hope Marathon this month, running or walking with Frederick to generate awareness of this organization’s essential work, and raising funds in support.
